Melissa Smrekar's ~ "Directed By Nora Ephron"

The first snap of cold.  Reaching for my favorite, worn-in sweatshirt.  Spotting a blooming mum on my neighbor's porch.  The scent of a pumpkin loaf in the oven.  Receiving a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils.  

Every year on the surprise arrival of that First Chilly Night, I perform a sacred ritual:  I light my favorite fall candle, and I watch You've Got Mail. It's nothing short of restorative.

Southern Bungalow Co. and I storyboarded the rom-com candle of my dreams.

"Directed by Nora Ephron" perfectly captures my favorite season.  It contains buttery notes of almond, vanilla, and caramel, but it's balanced with clove and tonka to cut the sweetness.  It's feminine, but not overly saccharine.  It's smart and complex.  It's classic for a reason.
